Clintonville Police were kept busy Monday with a mix of calls for service throughout the city. The day began with a report of property damage on South Main Street, while officers also conducted extra patrols and responded to a welfare check on Memorial Circle. Police assisted local businesses on South Main Street, helped another agency on Anne Street, and provided a citizen assist on 9th Street.
Dispatchers also handled two separate 911 calls—one on East 12th Street and another on South Main Street.
During the afternoon, officers investigated a suspicious incident on West Green Tree Road. Later in the evening, police responded to a reported theft on West Madison Street.
Traffic enforcement continued throughout the day with stops on Stewart Street at 6th Street, North Main Street at Highway 156, and Highway 22 at Commercial Avenue. Officers also handled a parking enforcement complaint on 15th Street and a noise complaint on Industrial Avenue.

Shawano County Deputies Responded to a wide range of calls across the county on Monday. One of the more serious incidents was an assault reported on Fourth Street in Mattoon during the morning. Deputies also investigated two separate theft reports, one near Wittenberg and another in Cecil, where a resident reported ongoing thefts of personal property.
Traffic safety remained a major focus, with deputies conducting more than two dozen traffic stops throughout the county from the early morning hours until just before midnight. Officers also responded to reports of reckless driving on Highway 156, several disabled vehicles, and an overnight hit-and-run crash in Bonduel.
Other calls included a drug investigation near the intersection of County Highway C and County Highway E in the Cecil area, another drug-related complaint later in the evening, welfare checks, suspicious activity, a civil dispute between neighbors, and a custodial interference complaint near Clintonville.
Deputies also assisted emergency responders on medical and fire calls, handled several accidental and open-line 911 calls, responded to an alarm in Angelica, and dealt with unusual incidents including horses running loose on Highway 45 and a report of children riding electric motorcycles into traffic near Shawano.
In all, the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled 68 incidents during the 24-hour reporting period.
Shawano Police responded to a wide range of calls on Monday, including a death investigation at a Crestwood Court residence. Authorities have released few details, and the investigation remains active.
Officers also handled several property damage complaints, including a report of an alleged drunk driver backing into a garage at an apartment complex and separate vehicle damage incidents at Kwik Trip and other locations.
Police responded to a welfare check after reports of suicidal messages involving an individual near Sturgeon Park. The person was located, and officers worked with other agencies during the response.
Other calls included graffiti reported at Olga Brener School, a two-vehicle crash on Highway 29 near Airport Drive with no reported injuries, multiple reckless driving complaints, and numerous traffic stops throughout the day.
