Rosemarie V. (Krolow) Mauritz, age 96 of Tigerton, passed away on Thursday July 9, 2026, at Thedacare Medical Center in Shawano.
Rosemarie Violet Krolow was born on June 4, 1930, as the daughter of the late Carl and Bernice (Rice) Krolow in Whitcomb, Wisconsin just north of Tigerton. She graduated from the eighth grade, and was married at just 17 years old to Edward Mauritz on June 12, 1947. After school she got a job as a nurse’s aid at Evergreen Nursing Home in Shawano and worked there for a time. When Rosemarie and her husband moved down to Milwaukee and later to Pewaukee, she worked at Stark’s Candy Company, Lakeview Hospital as a ward clerk and nurses aid, and Panalive making pizzas. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and knitting, but by far her favorite pastime was crafting ceramics. In retirement, Rosemarie started a business pouring, cooking, and painting ceramics to sell, and also held classes to teach others how to make them.

Four daughters, Donna (Gary) Hollingsworth, Vonnie (John) Zychowicz, Sylvia (Richard) Downs, and Veronica (Jim) Etter
Two sons, Carl and Randall Mauritz

Sisters, Donna Tomkins, Patricia Van Booven, and Jacklyn Calvert
Many nieces, nephews, and other relatives
She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Bernice; her husband, Edward in 2012; sisters, Darlene McGreggor and Lois Warden; brothers, Bob and Arlen Krolow; and two great-grandchildren Tylor and Raven Wimber.
A funeral service for Rosemarie will be held at 11 AM on Thursday July 16 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Gresham, 1230 Schabow St Gresham, WI 54128.
Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of service.
Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Roosevelt Cemetery in Gresham.
The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory, Clintonville is assisting the family with arrangements.
