BROWN AND OUTAGAMIE COUNTIES, WI – Motorists traveling through Brown and Outagamie counties should expect periodic lane closures next week as the Wisconsin Department of Transportation completes scheduled highway maintenance projects.
In Brown County, bridge deck sealing is scheduled for Monday, July 6, on Highway 54/57 at County A. Various lanes will be closed between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. while crews complete the work.
Additional overnight maintenance is planned on westbound Highway 172 over the Fox River. Deck sealing will take place Monday through Friday, July 6-10, between 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m., with lane closures in place during overnight hours.
In Outagamie County, pavement repairs are scheduled for Thursday, July 9, on Interstate 41 between Highway 125 and the southern county line. Work will take place from 7 p.m. until midnight, with a moving lane closure used to complete repairs while minimizing traffic disruptions.
WisDOT reminds drivers that all maintenance work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Motorists are encouraged to slow down, remain alert for highway workers and equipment, and allow extra travel time when traveling through active work zones.
