Michael Daniel McGlone

Michael D. McGlone, age 74 of New London, passed away after a brief illness at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton, on Thursday June 25, 2026.

Michael Daniel McGlone was born on May 19, 1952 at New London hospital, son to the late Bernard and Jeanette (Stilen) McGlone. He grew up on the family farm near Clintonville and graduated from Clintonville High School with the class of 1970. After high school he went to college for artistry and it became a lifelong interest of his. On February 11, 2012, Michael was united in marriage to Rita Kirk in Las Vegas Nevada. A carpenter by trade, he could build a house from start to finish, although he also remodeled many residential homes and commercial businesses as well. After 30 years in his profession, he officially retired in 2016. In his free time, Michael enjoyed his true passion; painting pictures and other artistic endeavors. Some of his other hobbies include wood burning, furniture making, and even in retirement he enjoyed some aspects of carpentry. He was also a family man, and enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. Michael will be remembered as a man of great character and integrity, as he was always determined to do the right thing no matter the cost.

Children: Kara (Dean) Muthig and their children, Gavin & Grant, & Corey (Liz) McGlone and their children, Conor & Molly
Siblings: John (Marilyn) McGlone, Bill McGlone, Barb Nietzke, Beverly (James) Lamere, Connie Fuss, and Carol (Wayne) Morack
Step-Children: Everetta Kirk and Ebony (Donovan) Henderson

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Rita Latza; and an infant brother, Jerome McGlone.

Two memorial services will be held for Michael, respecting the diverse religious traditions of his family. All friends and family are invited and welcome to attend either, or both of these services.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday July 1, 2026, at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home South Location. (299 S. Main St Clintonville, WI 54929). Evan Kelly with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning at the funeral home from 9 AM until the time of service.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 AM on Friday July 3, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bear Creek, with Fr. Simon Minyati officiating. Visitation takes place on Friday at the church from 9 AM until the time of service.

Inurnment will follow the service in the parish cemetery.

The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville is assisting the McGlone family with arrangements.
