Shawano Police stayed busy Sunday with a steady stream of calls across the city.
Officers conducted more than a dozen overnight traffic stops, including stops on East Green Bay Street, Main Street, and County MMM. Several drivers were warned for speeding, equipment violations, or registration issues.
Police responded to multiple 911 calls, including one just before 1 a.m. reporting a location near South Main Street. Another call later in the afternoon came from the area of Evergreen Street,
Two OWI incidents were logged. The first occurred around 2:19 a.m. near East Richmond Street and Airport Drive, involving multiple officers and an ambulance. A second OWI was reported around 5:18 p.m. near Lake Drive and North Shore Lane.
Officers also handled a reckless driving complaint on Highway 29, a noise disturbance on Bartlett Street involving a neighbor hammering a door lock, and a lost wallet reported at City Hall.
Other calls included a weapon complaint on Robin Lane, where a neighbor was reportedly shooting a pellet gun at deer, a drug‑related complaint at Lieg Park, and a fireworks violation on Lafayette Street.
Clintonville Police logged a steady mix of calls Sunday, beginning early with an extra patrol on North Main Street at six a.m. Officers continued routine patrols throughout the morning, including checks on Jennings Road, Olen Park Road, and Hemlock Street.
Late morning brought a traffic complaint at Highway G and Highway 45, followed by two afternoon traffic stops — one at North Main and Green Tree Road, and another at South Main and Reinke Road.
Around 7:30 p.m., officers and EMS responded to an ambulance call on Anne Street. No additional details were listed in the report.
Police also assisted a citizen on Harriet Street just after 8 p.m., and conducted another extra patrol near North 12th and Pearl Street.
A more serious call came at 9:24 p.m. for animal neglect on Lincoln Avenue. Later, at 10 p.m., officers performed another extra patrol on Memorial Circle.
The final call of the night came at 10:47 p.m., when police responded to a mental health situation on Harriet Street.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled a wide range of calls Sunday, beginning just before 1 a.m. with a traffic accident on Highway 160 near Maple Road in Pulaski. Minutes later, deputies responded to a 911 call from the same area, followed by a DNR violation on Witt‑Birn Townline Road, where a caller reported hearing a gunshot and seeing two men with headlamps walking through a field.
Around 2:20 a.m., deputies assisted Shawano Police near East Richmond Street and Airport Drive, using location data from a 911 call. At 5:36 a.m., an alarm was reported at Krakow One Stop on Highway 32.
Throughout the morning, deputies handled several 911 hang‑ups, welfare checks, and vehicle lockouts, including calls on Swamp Road, Highway 29, and at a Kwik Trip on Express Way. Multiple disabled vehicles were reported along Highway 29 as well.
By early afternoon, deputies were called to Shawano Lake twice for boat‑related issues, and later to Eland for a reckless driving complaint involving a blue Ford Explorer. Another boat problem was reported around 4:17 p.m. near County Park, where a jet ski was seen speeding through the area.
A series of traffic hazards followed, including vehicles blocking an intersection during a volleyball tournament and a request from Spectrum technicians in Bonduel for help slowing traffic while they worked on overhead lines.
Late afternoon brought more serious calls. Deputies responded to a reckless driving complaint on Lake Drive and North Shore Lane, and minutes later to a disturbance in Cecil where a caller reported a woman throwing items and hiding from law enforcement. Around 6:18 p.m., firefighters and deputies were dispatched to Micks Road in Bowler for a garage fire that was spreading to nearby buildings.
Evening calls included an ATV complaint on County E, multiple traffic hazards along Highway 29, and a 911 disconnect on Curt Black Road. At 8:40 p.m., deputies picked up a subject on a warrant from Milwaukee County.
The night wrapped with several reckless driving reports, including one vehicle reportedly traveling over 100 miles per hour on Highway 29, a vehicle lockout in Shawano, and a deer blocking the roadway near Highway 22.
