Margaret Bertha (Kohn) Dieck

Margaret B. (Kohn) Dieck, age 97 of Marion passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her caring family on Monday June 22, 2026.

Margaret Bertha Kohn was born on December 6, 1928 to the late Ernest and Martha (Koepke) Kohn at their home in Whitcomb, WI, and lived a long fulfilling life marked by dedication to her family, her community, and her passions. She graduated from high school and later became a devoted wife to Norman Dieck. They were married at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wittenberg on September 15, 1951, and together they built a life rooted in love and faith. Margaret was primarily a homemaker and housewife, but she also enjoyed her work outside the home as a cook for the Marion Public School District; there she touched the lives of many with her kindness and dedication. Outside of work, she found happiness tending to her flower gardens and creating beautiful dry flower bouquets. Her yard was often alive with the sights and sounds of birds which she loved to watch, a simple pleasure that brought her great peace. A longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marion, Margaret’s faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she found joy in serving others and was known for her warm presence in the church community. Margaret’s memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.

Margaret is survived by her children: Tim Dieck, Alice Heimerl, and Marsha (Mark) Werner
Grandchildren: Adam Kraeger, Andrew (Chad Suwyn) Kraeger, Austin (Lisa) Kraeger, Michael (Emily) Werner, Katie Werner
Great-grandchildren: Jyles Kraeger & Auwynn Kraeger

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman in 2009; her parents, Ernest and Martha; and three brothers, Ervin, Fred, and Armin Kohn.
