A downed tree partially blocking Lake Drive in Cecil prompted a traffic hazard call around 6:15 a.m., and a short time later deputies conducted a welfare check after a bus driver reported an older man’s truck was parked near a bridge but the man himself was missing. The caller said the man is normally seen fishing there every morning.
Just after 8:30 a.m., deputies responded to Broadway Road after a vehicle “failed to yield for a child getting on a bus,” according to dispatch notes. Another reckless driving complaint came in mid‑morning on Lake Road involving a white Jaguar “trying to pass people.”
Late morning brought a vehicle lockout on County Road B, followed by multiple 911 hang‑ups around noon, including one near Bonduel and another at Nauman and Wahl Roads.
Deputies handled two crashes in the early afternoon—one property‑damage only on North Cecil Street, and a personal‑injury crash at Highway 22 and Maple Leaf Road.
