Bonduel Ranked No. 5 in Division 6 Preseason Football Poll

NORTHEAST WISCONSIN – Expectations are once again high for the Bonduel Bears heading into the 2026 football season.

Bound Wisconsin released its Division 6 preseason football rankings this week, placing Bonduel fifth in the state among Division 6 programs. The ranking comes after another deep playoff run in 2025 that saw the Bears advance to the sectional finals before falling to eventual state runner-up Edgar in a defensive 8-7 battle.

Bonduel finished last season as one of the top teams in northeastern Wisconsin despite facing a challenging schedule that included losses to Wittenberg-Birnamwood and Kewaunee during the regular season. The Bears responded in the postseason by defeating Kewaunee in a one-point thriller before making their run to the sectional championship game.

While Bonduel graduated two-way All-State standout Ryan Westrich, the Bears return a talented core that has them positioned for another run at a conference title and deep postseason success.

Leading the way is senior quarterback Quinn Wesenberg, who enters the season as a multi-year starter and one of the area’s most experienced signal callers. Bonduel also welcomes back senior playmaker Carter Moesch, who was the team’s offensive leader a season ago after rushing for 1,504 yards while also leading the Bears in receiving with 424 yards.

The Bears’ backfield remains loaded with returning contributors Malachi Gray and Jack Zernicke expected to play key roles offensively.

Up front, Bonduel returns two of the top linemen in the conference in Jackson Krause and Jayden Popp, giving the Bears experience and stability in the trenches.
