NORTHEAST WISCONSIN – Several teams made statements over the weekend as BABA baseball action continued across the region, with Antigo Polar, Clintonville, Menominee and New London all posting impressive victories.
Antigo Polar Stays Hot
Antigo Polar picked up two convincing wins over the weekend, beginning with an 18-4 victory over Crandon on Friday night.
Will Kubeny earned the win as Antigo pounded out 15 hits. AJ Kirsch went 3-for-4 with a double, Alec Knapkavage finished 3-for-5 with a triple, and Brady Renfro added a home run. Crandon was led by Cole Shepherd, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles.
The offense stayed hot Sunday as Antigo rolled past Hatley 11-2. Mason Gray led a 20-hit attack by going 4-for-6 with a home run and a double, while AJ Kirsch added four hits of his own in the victory.
New London Blanks Tigerton
The New London Irish continued their strong season with a 10-0 seven-inning victory over Tigerton on Friday.
Mike Helsten earned the win while Aidan Kanaman went 3-for-3 with four runs scored and two RBIs. Tyler Gerrits and Austin Warren also contributed offensively as New London limited Tigerton to just three hits.
Clintonville Dominates Tilleda
The Clintonville A’s cruised to a 17-0 seven-inning win over Tilleda on Sunday.
Jaden Doornink was dominant on the mound, allowing no runs over six innings while striking out seven. At the plate, Hunter Vollmer launched a home run, Matthew Morse collected three hits, and Turner Doornink added a double in the lopsided victory.
Leopolis Shuts Out Tigerton
Leopolis blanked Tigerton 10-0 behind a complete-game effort from Jaden Stuhr, who struck out 12 and allowed only three hits.
Jackson Krohn and Dane Hodkiewicz each collected three hits, while Brady Hannes and Dylan Hodkiewicz both connected on three-run home runs.
Wittenberg Tops Marion
Wittenberg earned a 4-1 victory over Marion on Sunday.
Nathan Waupekenay picked up the win as the Pilots received multi-hit performances from Noah Cole, Pierson Potrykus, Zach Urquhart and Erik Steigerwald. Logan Zietlow paced Marion with two hits.
Plover Cruises Past Scandinavia
Plover rolled to an 11-2 win over Scandinavia behind a complete-game performance from Josh Opiola.
Kaden Thauer went 3-for-5, Deacon Kobeck finished 3-for-6, and Bailey Houston added two hits for Plover. Scandinavia managed just three hits in the contest, one each from Jesse Dickert, Caleb Bembenek and Dylan Lurvey.

- Birnamwood defeated Aniwa 11-6 behind a win from Mason Meverden.
- Gresham routed Weymont 16-2 as Carter Weisnicht homered three times and drove in three runs.
- Little Falls overwhelmed Shawano 26-2 in seven innings behind a strong outing from Carter Kurki.
- Menominee doubled up Caroline 12-6.
