Pulaski moved one step closer to the state tournament Thursday night with a 2-1 upset victory over Cedarburg in a WIAA Division 2 Sectional Semifinal. Sophomore Kara Barber scored for the Red Raiders, while junior Estella Vieaux recorded an assist. The difference was sophomore goalkeeper Tatum Wentland, who turned away 18 shots and finished with a 94.7 percent save percentage. Pulaski improved to 11-5-5 on the season and advances to the sectional final. The Red Raiders are now one win away from earning a state tournament berth.

#2 Notre Dame 6, #3 Winneconne 2
Winneconne’s season came to an end Thursday night with a 6-2 loss to Notre Dame Academy in a WIAA Division 3 Sectional Semifinal. The Wolves entered the match with a 19-3 record and riding a five-game winning streak, but the Tritons struck early and built a four-goal advantage in the first half on their way to the victory. Freshman Serene Adamski led Notre Dame with two goals, while senior Teya Bordini contributed a goal and three assists. Notre Dame goalkeeper Stella Boye made five saves as the Tritons improved to 15-5-3 and advanced to the sectional final. Despite the loss, Winneconne closes the season with 19 wins and a regional championship.
