SHAWANO, WI – A Shawano woman is facing possible criminal charges after police say she fired a pellet gun at passing vehicles outside her residence last week.
According to the Shawano Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Alpine Drive around midday on June 4 following reports that a 51-year-old woman was shooting at vehicles from her home.
Police say a 61-year-old woman reported that her vehicle was struck twice while driving past the residence. A utility truck traveling through the area was also reportedly hit shortly afterward.
Officers responded to the scene and took the suspect into custody without further incident.
Following the investigation, police referred charges of damage to property and reckless endangering safety to the Shawano County District Attorney’s Office for review.
Authorities have not released the woman’s name, and no information regarding potential injuries was included in the police report.
The case remains under review.
