CLINTONVILLE, WI – Classic cars, trucks, motorcycles and specialty vehicles filled the grounds for the 24th Annual Spring Cruise Car Show on May 15, drawing participants from across Wisconsin and beyond.
Organizers reported a total of 212 vehicles were entered in this year’s show, with 33 trophies awarded across multiple classes and special categories.
Taking home the Mayor’s Choice Award was Daniel J. Paters of Hortonville for his 1970 Plymouth Superbird. The Chief’s Choice Award went to Dr. Alfredo Cintron of Shawano and his 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, while John and Kim Lowe of New Richmond earned the Chamber’s Choice Award with their 1933 Ford Roadster.
Several local vehicle owners were among the class winners. Marc Peeters of Clintonville claimed first place in Class A with a 1964 Rambler American 330, while Tom Schultz of Clintonville earned first place in Class E with his Dodge Aspen. Chris Belliveau of Clintonville won Class F with a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix, and Tom and Cindy Schneidewend of Clintonville took second place in Class G with a 1958 Chevrolet Apache Truck.
Other first-place winners included Dennis Neubauer of Weyauwega with a 1936 Packard Club Sedan, Bob Braken of Appleton with a 1958 Chevrolet Impala, Dakota Zera of Bear Creek with a 1973 Ford Galaxie 500, Mike Ritchie of Appleton with a 1937 Chevrolet Truck, Karl List of Marion with a 1979 Dodge Lil Red Express Truck, Zach Peeters of Bear Creek with a 2014 Ford F-150, Reverend Steve Dahl of Oconto with a 1961 Chevrolet Greenbrier Van, Tim May of Hortonville with a 1935 Chrysler Woody, Doug and Dawn Blashe of Marion with a 1969½ Dodge Super Bee, Michael Ventereso of Shawano with a 1991 Acura Integra, Duane Casey of New London with a 2008 Harley-Davidson Screaming Eagle, and Mary Beth Kuester of Antigo with a 1957 Packard Caribbean Convertible.
Among the second-place finishers were Mike Tingling of Clintonville, Bob Breitrick of Hortonville, Bob Broder of Cecil, Ed Eastman of Oneida, Tony Knuth of Fremont, Robert Sukowatey of Brownsville, Randy Hamilton of Clintonville, Nick Dallmann of Cecil, Seagram Stevens of Oneida, John Steen of Chase, Nadine Kutchenriter of Clintonville, David Binder of Leopolis and Sharon Bohr of Cecil.
Organizers thanked the many volunteers, participants, sponsors and spectators who helped make the event another success. The annual show continues to be one of the area’s premier gatherings for automotive enthusiasts, showcasing vehicles ranging from pre-war classics to modern specialty cars, trucks and motorcycles.
