Hortonville saw its season come to an end at the WIAA Division 1 Sectional at Butte des Morts Country Club, finishing fifth in the team standings with a score of 338. Senior Wesley Barker led the Polar Bears with an 81, tying for 13th overall, while senior Carter Rohde added an 82. Dylan Wloszczynski carded an 87, Connor Graf shot an 88, and Noah Rindt finished with a 90. Despite falling short of a state berth, Hortonville placed three golfers inside the top 30 and capped off a strong season.

Kimberly and De Pere earned team berths to the WIAA Division 1 State Tournament after finishing first and second at the Hortonville Sectional on Thursday. Kimberly claimed the sectional championship with a team score of 307, led by Andrew Ostermann’s 74 and Drew Grant’s 75, while De Pere followed closely at 310 behind medalist Grant Lawton’s one-under-par 71. The top three individuals not on advancing teams also punched their tickets to state, with Appleton North senior Jonathan Huenink firing a 74, Bay Port senior Connor Ness shooting a 78, and Fox Valley Lutheran senior Kaden Kusserow earning the final qualifying spot with an 80. Those five qualifiers will compete next week at the WIAA State Championships at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison.
