Just after 6 a.m., deputies checked out a totaled gray Chevy Traverse found empty near a tight corner on West Town Hall Road in Gresham. No one was located at the scene.
Animal‑related calls continued to stack up. Around 6:30, a resident on West Hazel Drive reported loose dogs causing concern in the neighborhood. Then at 7:41, a driver reported a baby fawn wandering onto Highway 29 near the County K off‑ramp.
Deputies also assisted Brown County with an explosives‑related call, after old blasting caps were discovered and needed disposal.
Late morning brought a fraud complaint at the sheriff’s office lobby, and a criminal damage report in Bonduel, where a resident said a bush hog operator mowed down part of his cornfield and refused to pay for the damage.
Traffic issues continued throughout the day — including cones in the roadway, multiple disabled vehicles, and a motorcycle crash on County Road I where the rider was not injured but needed a tow.
In the afternoon, Aspirus Langlade Hospital reported a dog bite case, the incident had occurred earlier in the week.
Evening calls included a welfare check at the courthouse after a man was seen convulsing and vomiting, and two separate reckless‑driving complaints — one involving a vehicle striking construction cones on Highway 29.
The day wrapped up with deputies assisting a woman in Gresham who was attempting to retrieve her phone from a residence.
