Shawano Police handled a full slate of calls throughout the day Tuesday. Just after midnight, officers responded to a domestic disturbance on East Richmond Street, where a caller reported a man and woman fighting and a woman screaming “please, please,” according to the report.
Around four a.m., police were called to a burglar alarm at Shawano Middle School after a rear kitchen door alert was triggered.
Later in the morning, officers conducted a welfare check on South Lincoln Street after a medical alert activation with no voice contact.
A missing person case was opened when a woman reported that Michael Berkovitz had not been seen since Thursday and had no phone or transportation.
Throughout the day, police handled several 911 hang‑ups, traffic stops, and fraud complaints, including one on Engel Drive and another on Humphrey Circle.
In the afternoon, officers investigated a theft attempt on South Bartlett Street after a resident reported someone tried to break into their garage within the past week.
Evening calls included a disorderly conduct complaint at Burger King involving an intoxicated man demanding a job, a hit‑and‑run at Dunkin’ Donuts, and an OWI arrest on North Main Street tied to that same incident.
Police also responded to juvenile complaints, animal issues, and multiple alarms as the night wrapped up.
Clintonville Police logged a steady series of calls yesterday. The overnight hours began with foot patrols and multiple business checks along North and South Main Street. Officers also conducted several traffic stops, including one just after four a.m. on South Main.
Around eight o’clock, police responded to a motor‑vehicle crash on North Main Street. No injuries were reported at the time of the call. A short time later, Clintonville units provided mutual aid on Highway 156.
Late morning brought ordinance‑violation complaints on West 13th and 10th Street, followed by a 911 call from Enterprise Street.
In the afternoon, officers handled an alarm on South Clinton Avenue, assisted a citizen on North Main, and continued extra patrols around Memorial Circle.
A theft was reported just after six p.m. on Flora Circle. Later that night, officers conducted another traffic stop near South Main and 7th Street and wrapped up the day with additional patrols, including at Pickerel Point.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled more than 40 calls on Tuesday, ranging from traffic hazards to welfare checks and property crimes.
Just before one a.m., deputies responded to Highway 29 near mile marker 232, where a caller reported a deer alive in the roadway and needing to be dispatched. A few hours later, around 3:12 a.m., deputies were called to Wittenberg for a complicated property‑damage complaint described in the report as “very complicated and in need of an investigation.”
Morning calls included a 911 misdial on Highway 45, and a property‑damage crash on Waukechon Road around 7:40 a.m. Deputies also checked on a newborn fawn near the Shawano Airport after a caller said it was “super young” and possibly injured.
Shortly before 11 a.m., deputies were sent to a welfare check involving a man who had reportedly threatened suicide, with the caller saying he “had a plan for Saturday night but now has a plan for today.”
Around midday, deputies investigated an abandoned vehicle in the Town of Green Valley and another 911 open line near Mielke Road.
In the early afternoon, a woman in Wittenberg reported a civil dispute over a misdelivered package she said she was “blocked” from retrieving. Deputies also handled a traffic hazard involving a manure or septic hose on the shoulder of Highway 29.
Later in the day, a Shawano woman reported license plates stolen from a junked vehicle after she began receiving toll charges. Another caller reported animal neglect, saying a cow tank was empty and there was “no water.”
Evening calls included a welfare check in Bowler, a traffic hazard involving an orange construction barrel sticking into a lane on Highway 29, and a 911 call from the Tigerton Lumber Yard.
