Xavier continued its dominant season Friday night with an 8-0 victory over Saint Mary’s Springs in varsity girls soccer action in Appleton.
The Hawks, now 16-0 on the season, controlled the match from the opening whistle, building a 3-0 halftime lead before adding five more goals in the second half. Xavier’s aggressive attack kept pressure on the Ledgers throughout the night, finishing with 26 total shots and 18 saves forced from Springs sophomore goalkeeper Bellana Weaver.
Despite the final score, Weaver delivered a strong effort in net, recording 18 saves against one of the top offensive teams in the state.
Saint Mary’s Springs, now 9-7-1 overall, was limited to four shots offensively while facing a relentless Xavier squad that entered the contest undefeated.
