Shawano 6, Antigo 1
Shawano rolled to a 6-1 non-conference softball victory over Antigo on Thursday behind a dominant pitching effort and a big fourth inning at the plate. The Hawks broke the game open with five runs in the fourth and finished with 11 hits, led by Riley Krueger’s three-hit, two-RBI performance. Amiyah O’Kimosh added a double and an RBI for Shawano, while also setting a new school record for doubles in a season with her 13th of the year. In the circle, Lily Bubolz and Kadence Meyers combined to allow just one hit while striking out 10 batters. Antigo’s lone run came on an RBI from Jewel Weix, but Shawano’s offense and pitching proved too much as the Hawks closed out the win.
