Manitowoc Lincoln earned a hard-fought 4-3 victory over De Pere on Friday afternoon, continuing the Ships’ strong season with a key road win over the Redbirds.
The tightly contested matchup stayed close throughout, with Manitowoc Lincoln doing just enough offensively to hold off a late push from De Pere. The victory improved the Ships to 13-10 on the season and gave them a 2-0 lead in the season series against the Redbirds.
Coming off back-to-back losses entering the game, Manitowoc Lincoln bounced back in a big way against a De Pere squad that had recently picked up wins over Kimberly and Fond du Lac. The Ships showed resilience after a challenging stretch of games against some of the top teams in the area.
De Pere fell to 16-8 overall despite entering the contest with wins in three of its previous five games.
