Manawa Wolves broke the game open early and rolled to an 18-2 win over Menominee Nation Eagles in conference softball action Tuesday. Manawa scored in every inning, including an eight-run fourth inning, while Olivia Zielke earned the win in the circle with five strikeouts over four innings. Alexis Ferg homered and drove in two runs for the Wolves, while Katelyn Krueger went 1-for-1 with three RBIs and Callie Pethke added a triple. Menominee Nation got its offense from Taylesia Pamonicutt, who hit a solo home run, and Natalie Peters, who added the Eagles’ other hit and scored a run.

Manawa Wolves edged St. Mary Catholic Zephyrs 2-1 in a tightly contested non-conference softball game Tuesday. After St. Mary Catholic scored in the opening inning, Manawa answered with two runs in the third and made the lead stand behind a complete-game effort from Olivia Zielke, who allowed one run on seven hits while striking out six. Taelyn Bonikowske drove in both runs for the Wolves, while Callie Pethke and Alexis Ferg each collected two hits in the win. Alayna Seeger and Katelyn Krueger also added two hits apiece as Manawa finished with 11 hits overall.

Bonduel Bears used a big offensive night to knock off Stratford Tigers 9-7 in non-conference softball action Tuesday. Gracyn Wudtke led Bonduel at the plate, going 4-for-4 with three runs scored, a double, and a triple, while Juliana Jacobs blasted a home run and drove in four runs. Mary Margelofsky also homered for the Bears, who finished with 12 hits in the victory. Maddie Hert added two hits and earned the win in the circle, while Emery Thompson and Kallie Wilcox combined in relief.
Coleman 10, Oconto Falls 8
Coleman held off Oconto Falls 10-8 in a high-scoring non-conference softball matchup Tuesday. Coleman used a four-run fourth inning and aggressive baserunning, finishing with 12 stolen bases, to secure the win despite Oconto Falls collecting 15 hits. Kara Goddard went 3-for-5 with three RBIs for the Cougars, while Ella Wyss added three hits and three doubles, and Alyssa Kurth scored three runs. Oconto Falls answered with a six-run third inning, led by Delaney McNichols’ three-hit performance and Amelia Danielczak, who had two hits, an RBI, and three stolen bases. Makenzie Nowak earned the win in the circle for Coleman, allowing eight runs while striking out two over seven innings.
