
Douglas “Doug” P. Carrick, age 75 of Clintonville passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family in Clintonville on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
Douglas Paul Carrick was born on March 16, 1951 in Green Bay as the son of the late William and Thelma (Hetue) Carrick. Doug moved with his family to Clintonville when he was 15 and he graduated with Clintonville High School’s Class of 1969. Even before graduating, he started working in town at Seagrave FWD. Doug logged over 45 years as a welder at “The Drive” and retired in 2014. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Cynthia “Cindy” Zuhse on December 11, 1970 at the Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville. They recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Doug believed strongly in volunteering and making his community a better place. He spent 60 years helping with the Keller’s Lake Day Camp for the Developmentally Disabled. Doug was also a member of the Clintonville Moose Lodge #1502, was on the Board of Directors for the Clintonville Area Food Pantry, a member of the Optimist Club, and also the Clintonville Area Historical Society. Doug enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting & fishing, woodworking, and hosting friends for Packer games. In his younger years he enjoyed playing in local bands and proudly held one of the first memberships at Glen Carin Golf Course. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality and caring nature.

Sons: Paul (Heidi) Carrick & Jon (Jill) Carrick.
Grandchildren: Abigail (Adam) Meyer, Dalton Carrick, and Findley Carrick.
Also numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents William and Thelma Carrick, his step-father Milton Lindsten, brothers Steve (Joyce) Carrick and Tom Carrick, a granddaughter Kyra Carrick, and numerous other relatives.
A Celebration of Doug’s Life will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 6pm at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory (South Location), 299 S. Main Street, Clintonville, WI 54929. Rev. Jill Meyer will officiate and inurnment will take place privately at a later date at Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 from 4pm until the time of service. Doug’s family would like to thank the staff at ThedaCare Hospital and ThedaCare at Home Hospice for their outstanding care.
