Sherry D. Hulett, age 74 of the Township of Dupont, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton, following a sudden cardiac event.
Sherry Denise Hulett was born February 10, 1952 at the Great Lakes Naval Station near Chicago, daughter to Corrine (Davids) Kroening, and the late Marvin Kroening. Born with a musical spirit, Sherry was a 1970 graduate of Marion High School, where she shared her talents playing the alto saxophone, french horn, and piano. Her love for music continued throughout her life; she was known as a gifted singer and could often be found at the piano or keeping the beat on the tambourine.
Sherry was a dedicated worker who believed in the value of community. Over the years, she lent her hands to the Clintonville shoe factory and Marion Plywood. In 2004, she began a long and fulfilling career with Specialized Products, where she worked until her retirement just two years ago.
Beyond her professional life, Sherry’s heart belonged to the outdoors and the land. She found great peace camping on the reservation, surrounded by the hardwoods she loved. A creative soul, she spent time crafting dream catchers and appreciating the simple beauty of nature and all living things. Whether she was trying her luck at the casino or cheering “purple and gold” as a lifelong, die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan, Sherry approached life with a sense of fun and adventure.
Sherry was a “tough cookie”—a strong woman who spent her life being the bedrock for everyone else. Despite facing significant heartaches, she always found a way to remain resilient and kind, displaying her beautiful soul and fulfilling her role as a great mom. She took immense joy in introducing her husband, Scott, to her many friends on the reservation and making new connections wherever she went.
Sherry is survived by her loving husband of nearly 40 years, Scott
