TOWN OF CHILTON, WI- A 39-year-old Shawano man died Monday following a two-vehicle crash in Calumet County.
The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called around 11:10 a.m. to the intersection of State Highway 57 and County Highway PP in the Town of Chilton for a report of a crash involving an SUV and an empty dump truck.
Investigators say the SUV was traveling west on County Highway PP and had stopped at a stop sign. The dump truck was traveling south on State Highway 57 when the SUV entered the intersection and collided with the truck.
The SUV driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The 72-year-old Luxemburg man driving the dump truck was not injured.
