CLINTONVILLE, WI – Several infrastructure improvements are on the horizon in Clintonville as city crews prepare for a busy construction season. Public Works Director Justin McAuly says one of the largest projects planned is work around Memorial Circle, located near the American Legion and Walter A. Olen Park. The project is expected to stretch from 11th Street through the bridge, with the city currently in the process of seeking bids.
Additional upgrades are also planned in Bucholtz Park, where the parking lot next to the aquatic park is slated for a full reconstruction. McAuly says nearby East Morning Glory Drive will also see improvements, with roughly 600 to 700 feet of roadway identified as being in poor condition and in need of repair.
Sidewalk improvements remain a major focus as well, with the city continuing its in-house sidewalk program. However, McAuly says Clintonville will bring in a third-party contractor this year to assist with pouring concrete, allowing crews to cover more ground and complete more projects efficiently.
Work is already underway in the northwest corner of the city, as Clintonville looks to make steady progress on multiple infrastructure needs throughout the construction season.
