GREEN BAY, WI – The Shiocton Chiefs scored methodically in Game 2 of the CWC-East Tournament at the Green Bay Rockers Field as they defeated Menominee Nation 13-0.
The Chiefs got the run party started early as the starting pitcher Reid Flannery had a RBI Single in the 1st inning. Shiocton would continue their hitting ways with doubles in the 3rd, 4th and 5th innings which they all scored 4 runs in.
Shiocton had 5 extra base hits on the day. Jackson Young ended having 4 RBI’s on a single, double and fielder’s choice, Brent Collar also had 4 with a sac fly and a RBI double.
Shiocton chased CJ Peosay for Menominee Nation as he went just 2 innings giving up 4 hits and 4 runs.
Jackson Young also came in for relief of Reid Flannery and had 2 strikeouts for the Chiefs.
This was Shiocton’s first game in 11 days due to flooding in the region and after the game, Iola-Scandinavia’s head coach presented the team with a check to help with flooding relief.
This was also Shiocton’s 1st win in 4 games and their 1st conference win of the season.
