After a challenging 2025 season, Gillett/Suring enters the new year focused on growth, development, and turning the page. The team finished 4-15 overall and struggled in Marinette & Oconto Conference play, but with younger players gaining experience and key returners stepping into larger roles, there’s optimism heading into the spring.

One of the biggest returning pieces for Gillett/Suring is junior Parker Haak, who earned Second Team All-Conference honors a season ago. Haak provides a proven presence in the lineup and will likely be leaned on both offensively and defensively as the team looks to stabilize and improve. With limited statistical leaders listed from last season, development across the roster will be critical, especially for underclassmen stepping into everyday roles.

Pitching and run prevention will be key areas of focus after the team posted a high ERA and allowed a significant number of runs in 2025. Finding consistency on the mound and tightening up defensively will go a long way toward keeping games competitive. Offensively, improving contact and situational hitting will also be a priority after hitting just .167 as a team last year.

Competing in a tough Marinette & Oconto Conference that includes teams like Coleman, Crivitz, and Lena won’t make things easy, but it also provides opportunities for growth against strong competition.
