SHAWANO COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled a busy Saturday across the county, responding to a variety of calls ranging from 911 hang-ups and suspicious activity to traffic incidents and animal complaints.
Just after midnight, deputies arrested a woman for bail jumping on Lake Drive. Shortly after, deputies investigated an abandoned 911 call with loud buzzing heard in the background.
Throughout the morning, deputies responded to multiple calls including a 911 call near Cedar Road and Church Drive in Pulaski and provided a funeral escort in Bonduel.
Late morning and early afternoon brought several traffic and vehicle-related calls. Deputies handled a disabled vehicle near Highway 22 and Pioneer Road, investigated suspicious vehicles in both the Leopolis and Marion areas, and responded to a tree on a power line on Nightingale Road.
Deputies also assisted Pulaski Police during the afternoon and provided a standby in Tigerton while property was retrieved from a barn.
Several traffic incidents were reported later in the day, including reckless driving on Highway 32 and a crash at Hintz Road and South Town Line Road. Deputies also assisted stranded motorists with flat tires and disabled vehicles on Highways 29 and 47-55.
Evening calls included multiple abandoned 911 calls, property damage in Bowler after a yard was repeatedly driven over, and a traffic hazard on Highway 29 and Range Line Road caused by debris in the roadway.
Deputies also responded to an animal complaint involving cows in the road near Highway 45 and Linke Road, and a disorderly conduct call at North Star Casino in Bowler.
The night wrapped up with deputies assisting with a general call at ThedaCare Medical Center in Shawano.
SHAWANO POLICE DEPARTMENT
Shawano Police responded to a wide range of calls throughout the day Saturday, including domestic incidents, suspicious activity, theft complaints and traffic enforcement.
Officers were called just after 1 a.m. to a domestic disturbance on South River Street. That was followed by a suspicious activity call at Dunham’s Sports on East Green Bay Street, where people on bikes were reported riding through the parking lot before leaving the area.
Early morning traffic enforcement included a stop at South Andrews and East Center Streets.
Late morning, officers handled a threatening complaint on South Main Street and later responded to a theft report on East Fifth Street, where a resident reported books and movies missing from their apartment.
Police also assisted with a standby situation on South Smalley Street, helping keep the peace while a resident gathered belongings. Shortly after, officers responded to a disturbance on West Richmond Street involving a report of a man yelling while intoxicated.
Another domestic disturbance was reported Saturday afternoon at an apartment on East Richmond Street.
Officers also investigated a report of a stolen bicycle that was later located at a pawn shop, and later in the day responded to a suspicious situation at a South Main Street business involving a man sitting in an aisle with visible injuries.
Saturday evening brought additional suspicious activity, including a report of a vehicle parked at River Valley Church with a person changing clothes in the lot.
Police also checked a drug complaint on South Main Street after a report of a marijuana smell in an apartment building. Officers spoke with residents but reported no odor.
Just after midnight Sunday, officers investigated suspicious people near a Main Street business and handled an accidental 911 call on South Park Street.
CLINTONVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT
Clintonville police had a steady overnight and weekend shift Saturday, with a heavy focus on routine patrols, traffic enforcement, and several emergency responses across the city.
The day began overnight with multiple business checks along South Main Street, as officers made repeated passes through the area between 2:30 and 5:00 a.m. to ensure security at local businesses.
Shortly after 5 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at North Main Street and East 12th Street, followed by a citizen assist call on South Main Street just minutes later.
By mid-morning and into the afternoon, activity picked up with an extra patrol on Anne Street, and a report from the West 1st Street area listed as a neighbors complaint, indicating a non-criminal neighborhood concern.
Emergency services were dispatched just after 2 p.m. for an ambulance call on 7th Street, followed by additional law enforcement activity across town.
Later in the day, officers conducted multiple traffic stops, including locations at:
- North 12th Street and West Green Tree Road
- West 1st Street and South Main Street
- Golf Club Road
- South Main Street and County Highway I
In the evening, officers responded to a welfare check on Industrial Avenue, rounding out a full day of mixed patrol activity and public safety calls.

The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled a wide variety of calls throughout Sunday, ranging from traffic incidents and reckless driving to welfare checks and alarms.
Deputies started the day just after 1 a.m. with a welfare check near Valley Road and Wildlife Road after a man was reported walking along the roadway yelling for help.
Early morning calls continued with a field contact involving hunters preparing to head out, followed by a disorderly conduct complaint at a Hillcrest Lane residence involving a dispute with an ex-girlfriend.
Traffic issues kept deputies busy throughout the morning. A semi trailer became detached near Lake Drive and Airport Road, and deputies responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a tree near County Highway C and Town Line Road. Another vehicle with heavy front-end damage was later located in Cecil following a deer crash.
Late morning included a 911 call in the Antigo area, and deputies also assisted a motorist locked out of a vehicle in Shawano and checked on a white van found in a ditch near County Highway G and Zimdars Road.
During the afternoon, deputies received reports of reckless driving on Highway 29, including a vehicle traveling around 100 miles per hour and passing traffic on the shoulder. Later in the evening, a burglar alarm was reported at a business in the Caroline area.
Traffic hazards and vehicle issues continued into the night with reports of a cone blocking a lane on Highway 29, a flat tire near Tower Lane, and additional reckless driving complaints on Highway 156 and Lake Drive.
Deputies also handled multiple 911 calls, including a hang-up call from a phone that could not be contacted again.
The day ended with an animal complaint after a deer was struck by a vehicle near County Highway BB and Church Road.
In total, the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to 21 incidents on Sunday while continuing patrols across the county.
SHAWANO POLICE DEPARTMENT
Shawano Police were busy Sunday responding to a wide range of calls throughout the city, including suspicious activity, medical assists, welfare checks, and disturbances.
Officers started the day shortly after midnight responding to a suspicious activity call on East Richmond Street, where two men were reported near a business in hoodies. Officers checked the area.
Police also handled several 911 calls during the day, including accidental dials and situations where callers hung up before contact could be made.
Later in the morning, officers recovered found property at Woodlawn Cemetery after a citizen discovered a Canon camera left behind near the chapel.
Animal complaints were also reported, including two stray dogs seen running near Charlie’s County Market, causing drivers to brake suddenly to avoid hitting them. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the dogs.
Officers conducted a welfare check after a medical alarm activation at an apartment on Estates Lane, and later handled a juvenile-related call on South Lincoln Street.
Police assisted ambulance crews multiple times Sunday, including medical calls at Parkside Apartments and on South Prospect Street where a man reportedly felt like he was going to pass out.
During the afternoon, officers made an arrest after picking up a person on a warrant near Lieg Avenue and Union Street.
Additional welfare concerns were reported on South Washington Street, where officers were asked to check on an elderly man who was reportedly unable to care for himself.
Throughout the evening, police responded to ongoing neighborhood issues including trespassing complaints involving juveniles, a noise complaint at Sturgeon Park, reckless driving near Eagle Street and Franklin Street, and a disturbance on North Lafayette Street involving loud yelling.
The day ended with another 911 call response at Parkside Apartments.
In total, Shawano Police handled more than a dozen calls for service Sunday as officers continued routine patrol and public safety operations across the city.
CLINTONVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT
Clintonville Police stayed busy Sunday with proactive patrols, medical calls, traffic enforcement and an alarm response.
Officers conducted numerous overnight business checks across the city, including several along South Main Street, North Main Street, County Highway I, North Park Street, Green Tree Road and Industrial Court. Extra patrols were also completed on 7th Street, Anne Street and Walnut Street.
Police assisted ambulance crews multiple times throughout the day, responding to medical calls on North 12th Street, Park Lane and later on Wilson Street.
Officers also responded to an alarm on South Main Street early in the morning.
Traffic enforcement continued during the day and evening, with stops conducted at North 12th and Pearl Streets, Green Tree Road and North Main Street, North Main and Harriet Streets, and later at 17th and Motor Streets.
Police also handled an animal complaint Sunday night near McKinley Avenue and East 14th Street.
Clintonville Police continued routine patrols and responded to calls for service throughout the day and night across the community.
