Girls Soccer
Xavier 3, Pulaski 1
Xavier came away with a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Pulaski on Friday night at Xavier High School.
The two teams battled through a tightly contested regulation, with Pulaski getting on the board behind a goal from senior Ruth Krause, assisted by Elizabeth Dornfeld. Xavier answered to send the match to overtime tied at 1-1.
In the extra sessions, the Hawks took control, scoring twice in the second overtime to secure the win and remain unbeaten on the season.
Pulaski generated solid offensive pressure throughout, finishing with 11 shots and five on goal, but couldn’t find the breakthrough in overtime. Goalkeeper Lucia Di Gennaro made key stops in net, recording multiple saves to keep the Raiders in the match.

SATURDAY GIRLS SOCCER
Pulaski 2, Slinger 0
Pulaski earned a strong bounce-back win on Saturday, defeating Slinger 2-0 in a non-conference matchup at Pulaski High School.
After a scoreless first half, the Red Raiders broke through in the second, netting both goals to take control. Senior Leah Grygiel led the way offensively, finding the back of the net and capitalizing on one of Pulaski’s limited but efficient scoring chances.
Despite only registering a couple of shots on goal, Pulaski made them count, finishing with a perfect conversion rate. The Red Raiders also earned a pair of corner kicks and took advantage of their opportunities in the attacking third.
Defensively, Pulaski was outstanding. Goalkeeper Tatum Wentland turned in a flawless performance, recording four saves to preserve the shutout and anchor a strong defensive effort.
