SHAWANO, WI – The AbbyBank Foundation is continuing its support of local organizations, awarding a $500 grant to Bridge the Gap as part of its spring grant cycle.
The funding will be used to enhance the organization’s primary group meeting space by purchasing new couches and loveseats. Officials say the upgraded seating will provide a more comfortable and welcoming environment for daily group meetings, community discussions, and social-emotional learning activities.
Bridge the Gap leaders say the improvements will also support peer engagement and help create a space where individuals of all abilities can connect and build important life skills. AbbyBank Shawano Branch Manager Rebecca Kuczer says the project aligns with the foundation’s mission to strengthen communities. She adds the grant helps create a safe, supportive setting where participants can learn and grow together.
The AbbyBank Foundation, established in 1986, has a long history of giving back to communities across the region. AbbyBank has contributed more than $1.9 million to the foundation, which has in turn distributed nearly $1.5 million to organizations in communities including Shawano, Green Bay, Appleton, and Wausau.
Foundation officials say they remain committed to supporting projects that improve quality of life and foster stronger community connections.
