NORTHEAST WISCONSIN – Major roadwork is underway across the region, with one project already in progress and another set to begin in the near future.
Construction has officially started on an $11.9 million improvement project along Highway 29 in Shawano County. The project stretches between County Road J and County Road M through the towns of Morris, Seneca, Herman, and Richmond. Crews began work on March 30th and are focusing on replacing guardrails, repairing and replacing sections of concrete pavement, and installing a new culvert.
Traffic is being maintained during the Highway 29 project using single-lane closures and bi-directional traffic, with completion expected by November 5th, weather permitting.
US Highway 45 Project Planned: Public Meeting Set to Preview Construction
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is preparing for another project along US Highway 45, spanning Waupaca and Shawano counties. The work will take place between County Road C in Clintonville and Gollnow Road in Marion.
To help residents prepare, WisDOT will host a public information meeting on Thursday, April 9th at 5:30 p.m. at the Clintonville Community Center. Officials say the meeting will cover construction plans, timelines, and expected traffic impacts, and residents are encouraged to attend or follow updates through the Wisconsin 511 website.
