Shawano Police kept busy Thursday with a range of calls across the city. Officers responded to multiple disturbances, including two incidents at the same East Lieg Avenue apartment complex—one early in the morning where a caller reported alcohol being thrown, and another later involving a dispute over keys.
Police also made an arrest late Thursday morning near Main and Fifth Streets. Authorities say a man was taken into custody for obstructing officers during a traffic-related incident.
A welfare check on Lakeland Road raised concern after a young child was reportedly outside alone for about 30 minutes. Officers responded and investigated the situation.
Meanwhile, a suspicious substance found at a grocery store on East Green Bay Street turned out to have no suspect, and a hit-and-run crash was reported on Franklin Street, leaving a parked vehicle damaged.
The day wrapped up with reports of drug activity, a medical assist, and a reckless driving complaint involving a suspected drunk driver near Airport Drive.
Clintonville Police handled a variety of calls throughout the day yesterday, Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle just after midnight on South Clinton Avenue and later assisted a disabled vehicle along Highway 22 during the morning commute.
Extra patrols were conducted in several neighborhoods, including Ninth and Anne Streets, along with a school patrol near Green Tree Road.
A theft was reported mid-morning on West Morning Glory Drive, while officers also conducted radar enforcement and multiple traffic stops around the city, including near Clinton Avenue and 12th Street.
Police also responded to a tobacco-related complaint near Green Tree Road and handled a lost-and-found report on South Clinton Avenue.
In the evening hours, officers assisted with an ambulance call on North 12th Street and continued traffic enforcement.
The day wrapped up with business checks on County Highway I and South Main Street, before Clintonville officers provided mutual aid on Lakeshore Road just before midnight.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to a wide range of calls across the county. The day began with an animal complaint along Highway 156 near Pulaski, where a deer had to be put down after being found injured in the roadway.
Later in the morning, deputies handled a trespassing complaint in the Town of Shiocton, where a property owner reported ongoing issues with someone driving onto private land.
At the Shawano County Courthouse, authorities took a man into custody following a court appearance, while in Bonduel, deputies collected a counterfeit 20-dollar bill reported at a local bank.
Deputies also assisted medical staff at ThedaCare in Shawano, standing by for a patient appointment, and carried out a transport from the county’s work release facility.
In the afternoon, a residential burglary alarm was reported near Gresham, but it was ultimately cleared without incident. Another trespassing complaint remains active in the Town of Richmond.
Authorities also investigated three abandoned 911 calls near Loon Lake but were unable to make contact with the caller.
A Clintonville-area resident reported losing $1,200 in a DirecTV scam, highlighting continued concerns about phone and online fraud.
During the evening hours, deputies responded to a property damage crash in the Town of Maple Grove and a civil dispute in the Town of Wescott.
The day wrapped up with a disabled vehicle along Highway 29 near Tigerton, and a fire call in the Clintonville area involving a burning power pole.
