SHAWANO, WI – A unique and interactive fundraiser is coming to the Shawano County Humane Society this April, giving community members a chance to support local animals in a hands-on way.
Volunteer Kris Tetting says the upcoming Slumber Pawty will run from noon on Saturday, April 18th through noon on Sunday, April 19th, offering participants the opportunity to spend the night at the shelter. Tetting says organizers are still looking for more people willing to stay overnight and get the whole experience, helping care for and spend time with the animals.
The Humane Society is also continuing to seek sponsors and donations to support the event, including gift cards, merchandise, and other items that can be used for fundraising efforts.
Tetting says residents should also keep an eye on their mailboxes, as informational flyers about the Slumber Pawty will be sent out ahead of the event.
Organizers hope the fundraiser not only raises money, but also builds stronger connections between the community and the animals in need of homes.
