Shawano Police responded to a range of incidents across the city. Officers were called to the Haven Hotel late Wednesday morning for a disorderly conduct complaint involving a man reportedly yelling and using racial slurs. Multiple officers responded and the situation was brought under control.
Earlier in the day, police assisted firefighters on South Main Street and responded to a 911 hang-up call at Walmart on East Green Bay Street. Authorities say no emergency was found in that case.
There were also several medical calls, including one at Walgreens and another at Culver’s, where an elderly man reportedly fell near the entrance.
Police handled a trespassing complaint on East Richmond Street involving a possible makeshift campsite and later responded to a shoplifting call at Charlie’s County Market. The suspect was reportedly seen carrying a knife.
The day ended with a disturbance call on East Lieg Avenue, where a person was reportedly pounding on doors and refusing to leave.
Clintonville Police responded to a variety of calls. Officers handled multiple traffic stops across the city, including along South Main Street, West Madison, and near Auto and Shaw Streets.
Police were called to Industrial Avenue late in the morning for a suspicious situation, and just before 12:30, officers responded to an assault complaint on 16th Street. No further details have been released.
Additional calls included a harassment complaint on Stewart Street and a disorderly conduct incident on North Main Street later in the afternoon.
Emergency crews were also dispatched to Industrial Avenue for an ambulance call, and officers conducted a pair of welfare checks on Torrey Street.
Other activity included a reported utility problem near Brent and 10th Streets, a vehicle lockout on West Madison, and a stray animal call on 7th Street.
Police also handled a noise complaint late in the evening and conducted routine business checks.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to a wide range of calls across the county including several traffic incidents, arrests, and emergency calls.
Early in the morning, deputies assisted a recently released inmate in Shawano who needed transportation. Just minutes later, authorities responded to a traffic crash near Highway 45 in the Wittenberg area.
A more serious crash was reported around 7:45 near Highways 187 and 156 in the Shiocton area, where a vehicle was found overturned. The extent of injuries has not been released.
Throughout the day, deputies handled multiple traffic-related complaints, including reckless driving reports in Cecil and Bonduel, and several violations involving drivers passing stopped school buses with lights activated.
At around 11 a.m., deputies made an arrest at the Shawano County Courthouse. Later in the afternoon, authorities responded to an OWI incident near County Road G and Geider Road in Gresham, where a suspect was taken into custody.
Other calls included welfare checks, disabled vehicles along Highway 29, and a standby request involving concerns about firearms at a residence in the Town of Wescott.
In the evening hours, deputies assisted at the scene of a fire in Birnamwood and responded to a dog bite incident involving two individuals in the Caroline area.
The day wrapped up with a suspicious person complaint near Shiocton and a late-night inmate transport to Clark County Jail.
