Gerald “Jerry” J. Wuske, age 57 of the Town of Grant, Shawano County, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Monday evening, March 23, 2026 at UW Hospital in Madison.
Gerald John Wuske was born on January 7, 1969 in Clintonville as the son of the late Gerald L. and La Vonne (Griepentrog) Wuske. He attended school in Tigerton and was later married to Cindy Bigley. The couple had 3 children and later divorced. Jerry worked as a truck driver throughout his life and truly loved it. He met Sue Clauson and the couple has spent the past 20 years together creating many wonderful memories. Jerry loved being outdoors deer hunting, fishing, or even just cutting firewood. He was a member of the Four Dams Sno-Goers Snowmobile Club and enjoyed attending tractor pulls or shows. Years ago, Jerry was a big Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Caroline. Those closest to him said he could talk your ear off with his outgoing personality.

Children: Stephanie Wuske, Travis (Kiri Kentile) Wuske, Amanda “Mandy” (Nick Breiting) Wuske, Alesha (Jaime Cole) Bork, Amanda Bork, Angela (Garrett) Vandenhout, and Brittany.
Grandchildren: Wesley Wuske, Levi Davids, Dominic & Braxton Pelky, and Cameron & Alaina Bork.
Sister: Lisa (Doug) Strehlow.
Brother: Scott (Tina) Wuske.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and La Vonne, and by his sister Faye Wuske.
Jerry’s funeral service will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11am at the Zion Lutheran Church in Caroline with Rev. Ryan Halmstad officiating. Inurnment will take place later in spring at the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established by Jerry’s family.
