PITTSBURGH, PA – Two Shawano Natives were on the national stage today as Michigan Tech was in the NCAA D2 Elite 8 against Gannon this afternoon.
The matchup also carried local ties, as Shawano native Marcus Tomashek competed for Michigan Tech, while Huskies head coach Josh Buettner, also a Shawano alum, led the program on the national stage.
Gannon closed things out in dominant fashion, defeating (6) Michigan Tech 75-49 behind a strong second half and a late 6-0 run over the final minutes.
