The Shawano Police Department responded to a wide range of calls over the weekend, including welfare checks, a disturbance, and an arrest on a warrant.
Officers were called to East Randall Street twice on Saturday, first for a welfare check involving a woman reportedly talking to herself and possibly under the influence, and later for suspicious activity with heavy traffic in and out of the same residence.
Police also responded to a report of a man lying on a sidewalk near Olson Street Sunday evening. The individual appeared confused but was located and attended to by officers.
Earlier in the day, a bank alarm at Associated Bank was determined to be a false alarm due to equipment issues.
Late Sunday night, multiple officers responded to a disturbance near South Andrews and East Maurer Streets after reports of yelling.
And just before midnight, officers made an arrest at a South Park Street apartment, taking one person into custody on an outstanding warrant.
The Clintonville Police Department handled a steady stream of routine calls throughout the day on March 22nd.
Officers conducted multiple early-morning business checks along South Main Street, making repeated passes through the downtown area between about 3:30 and 4 a.m. Extra patrols were also reported on 9th and Anne Streets shortly before 6 a.m.
Later in the morning, police assisted with a disabled vehicle at Madison and Bennett Streets, followed by a vehicle lockout on 10th Street.
Authorities also made an arrest on a warrant on Waupaca Street just before 10 a.m., and responded to a report of a stray animal on South Main Street late in the morning.
In the evening hours, officers conducted welfare checks on Brix Street and 8th Street, and carried out traffic stops on South Main Street and near Highway 45 and County Highway C.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled a busy day of calls across the county on March 22nd, including multiple traffic incidents, welfare checks, and an OWI arrest.
Early in the morning, deputies responded to a disabled pickup truck along Highway 29 near the Mile Marker 234 exit. The driver reported swerving to avoid a deer. No injuries were reported.
Just before 4 a.m., deputies checked a building in Navarino after an open door was reported. The structure was cleared and secured. Minutes later, a burglary alarm at a dealership on Highway 160 turned out to be non-threatening after contact with keyholders.
Throughout the day, deputies handled a variety of calls, including a vehicle lockout in Wittenberg, civil disputes in Pulaski and at Ho-Chunk Casino, and a report of stray dogs running loose near Birnamwood.
In the afternoon, a Leopolis woman reported threatening messages from an ex-partner, while multiple reckless driving complaints came in along Highway 29, including reports of speeding and swerving vehicles.
Authorities also took one person into custody in Shawano after she turned herself in on an active warrant.
During the evening hours, deputies responded to several welfare checks across the county, along with a report of a pedestrian lying along the roadside in Bonduel.
The most serious incident came just before 10 p.m., when a driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated near Highway 22 and Shady Lane.
