Shawano Man Facing Homicide Charge Hit with Additional Counts Over Alleged Jailhouse Threats

SHAWANO, WI – A Shawano man already charged in a homicide case is now facing a new series of serious allegations tied to threats made while behind bars.
Sixty-one-year-old Michael Ingold has been charged with 10 additional counts, including making threats against prosecutors and law enforcement officers connected to his ongoing case. Authorities say the alleged threats were made during recorded jail phone calls as well as in-person conversations over the past year.
Due to the nature of the threats involving local officials, a special prosecutor has been appointed to handle the case. In addition, a different judge will now oversee proceedings moving forward.
Court records show Ingold’s original homicide trial remains on schedule, with proceedings expected to begin in April.
