NEW LONDON, WI – St. Patrick’s Week celebrations in New Dublin continue tonight with a family-focused event designed to bring the community together for an evening of Irish fun and tradition.
The Family Program is set to begin at 7 p.m. tonight at the New London High School Auditorium, offering free admission for all ages. Anne Stedman with the Shamrock Club of New Dublin says the night will feature a variety of entertainment, including traditional Irish dancers, skits, and activities geared toward families.
A major highlight of the evening will be the introduction of this year’s honored dignitaries. Stedman says Bob and Shellie Leahy will be recognized as the Irish Man and Irish Rose, while retired Police Chief Jeff Schlueter will be honored as the Grand Marshal. Other dignitaries recognized will be the Irish Lad and Lass.
The event serves as one of the key moments of the weeklong celebration, giving the community a chance to come together and celebrate Irish heritage in a family-friendly setting.
Stedman adds that the dignitaries introduced tonight will also take part in Saturday’s Irish Fest and Grand Parade, which will wrap up the New Dublin St. Patrick’s Week festivities.
