Police in Shawano handled a wide range of calls throughout the day on March 18th, including several incidents tied to hazardous road conditions and ongoing investigations.
Early in the morning, officers responded to multiple vehicles stuck in snow, including a jackknifed semi blocking part of the roadway near South Sawyer Street. Traffic hazards were also reported near Hillcrest Primary School, where stranded vehicles created dangerous driving conditions.
Authorities are investigating a pair of hit-and-run incidents—one in the Co Vantage Credit Union parking lot and another reported near Walmart and Aldi—both involving damage to parked vehicles.
Police also responded to a weapons complaint on North Lafayette Street and multiple welfare checks throughout the city, including one involving a missing program participant and another concerning a child left on a bus when no parent arrived.
In a more unusual call, officers were flagged down about a suspicious scene involving animal remains found near a residential garage.
The day also included bail jumping complaints tied to a domestic violence case, with authorities continuing to monitor the situation.
Clintonville Police were busy throughout the day, responding to a wide range of calls across the city. Officers handled numerous overnight parking enforcement complaints, with repeated activity reported along Hughes Street, McKinley Avenue, and several downtown intersections.
The morning hours saw a pair of motor vehicle crashes—one at Staff Sergeant Warren Hansen Drive and 15th Street, and another at Main and 14th. No word on injuries in either incident. Police also assisted citizens on Pearl Street and conducted extra patrols in several neighborhoods, including West, Anne, and 9th Streets, along with a school patrol on Green Tree Road.
Later in the morning, officers responded to a disabled vehicle at Main and 12th, another near Morning Glory Drive, and a lockout on Coleus Court. An ordinance violation was also reported in that same area.
In the afternoon and evening, police answered ambulance calls on Main Street and 5th Street, conducted a welfare check, and made a traffic stop at Main and 14th.
The day ended with more serious activity, including a theft and warrant arrest on Brix Street, a harassment complaint on Main Street, and a final citizen assist later that night.

The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to 46 incidents across the county yesterday, ranging from crashes and welfare checks to disturbances and criminal complaints.
The day began just after midnight with a property damage crash near County Highway G and Upper Red Lake, followed by a 911 open line call on Ranch Road where dispatchers reported hearing rustling before contact was made.
Throughout the early morning hours, deputies handled multiple disturbances, including a domestic-related complaint on Lake Drive and another involving ongoing arguments at an apartment on Old Keshena Road. Welfare checks were also a focus, including one in Tigerton after a report of a man falling in the roadway, and another involving concern for a family that had not been heard from after going out to shovel snow.
Road conditions and hazards kept deputies busy, with several reports of slush-covered highways, blocked roadways, and drivers pushing snow into traffic lanes. There were also multiple traffic incidents during the day, including a crash with injuries at Highway 29 and County Road F in Pulaski.
In the afternoon, deputies responded to a serious medical call in Pulaski, where a caller reported finding a family member deceased. Other calls included a child locked inside a residence in Tigerton, an ATV complaint in the Town of Wescott, and a vehicle that passed a stopped school bus with its lights flashing.
Evening activity included a reported vehicle theft in Cecil that was later determined to be a misunderstanding, along with disorderly conduct complaints, a warrant arrest near the Waupaca County line, and a reckless driving report on Highway 29.
The day wrapped up with another crash late at night involving a vehicle in the ditch, with the driver believed to be intoxicated.
In addition, Stockbridge-Munsee Police handled a trespassing complaint at the Gresham Post Office.
