NEENAH, WI – The Seymour Thunder advanced to state for the 1st time since 2011 yesterday after a 71-52 win over conference rival Xavier.
The 1st half, Xavier jumped out to a quick lead with multiple Kyler Bleck 3’s. Seymour battled back midway through the 1st half and took a 35-26 lead at halftime with Teage Cornell scoring 13 first half points.

Seymour’s shooting got better in the 2nd half, pulling away from Xavier and never surrendering the lead.
Cornell led the way with 21 points for Seymour.
Xavier was led by Kyler Bleck with 18 and Logan Ramczyk with 16.
Seymour advances to play Saint Croix Central this Thursday at the Kohl Center in Madison.
