SCHOFIELD, WI – The Bonduel Bears are returning to the Kohl Center after a 78-68 win over the Marathon Red Raiders on Saturday afternoon inside the D.C. Everest Fieldhouse.
Both teams were back and forth for the first several minutes of action, neither team got up by 3 or more until a count the basket by Griffin Uelmen with 6:30 left in the 1st half gave Bonduel momentum after a mini run.
Bonduel continued that mini run behind the hot shooting from Uelmen and Quinn Wesenberg.
After a 41-25 halftime lead for Bonduel, Marathon would not go quietly as Garrett Bracewell had 11 2nd half points to lead the comeback but free throws down the stretch were huge for Bonduel as they were 16/22 from the line as a whole.

Leaders for Bonduel were Griffin Uelmen with 26, Quinn Wesenberg with 22 and Ryan Westrich with 14.
Leaders for Marathon were Garrett Bracewell with 16, Drew Woelfel with 15 and True Thurs with 12.
A postgame interview with Bonduel’s Griffin Uelmen is available on the B99.3 Facebook page.
Bonduel goes back to Madison for the 2nd straight year this Thursday.
