SEYMOUR, WI – It was a battle of very good regional opponents in a Regional Final Saturday matchup as the Seymour Thunder came away victorious 56-35 over the visiting Wittenberg-Birnamwood Chargers.
Both teams started out slow as it was 4-2 in favor of the Chargers 6 minutes in, but it was back-to-back threes by Jordan Krause and Teage Cornell for Seymour that lit the Thunder offense.
Seymour’s defense was in the game from the start, holding Wittenberg-Birnamwood to 13 first half points.
After the break, it was the Kyler Marks, Jordan Krause and Isaac Feske show as all three combined for 22 2nd half points in route to the Thunder pulling away in the 2nd half.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood would not go quietly though as Zandyr Barke started heating up, having 10 2nd half points.
Foul trouble was also huge for the Chargers giving Seymour free chances at the line, Seymour shot 65% from the line.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood ends their season at 19-7. Seymour improved to 25-1.
The Chargers were led by Zandyr Barke with 12 and Oliver Fraaza with 9.
Seymour was led by Kyler Marks and Isaac Feske with 13 and Jordan Krause with 10.
