SHAWANO, WI – Shawano City Clerk Lesley Nemetz is encouraging residents to begin preparing now for the upcoming April 7 election by confirming their voter registration and planning ahead for early voting.
Nemetz says in-person absentee voting will be available from March 24 through April 3, giving voters several opportunities to cast their ballots before Election Day.
She adds one of the most important steps voters can take right now is checking their registration status online and updating any information that may have changed. That includes voters who have moved, changed their name, or experienced any other changes since the last time they voted.
Nemetz says making sure registration details are current, and that proper documentation is ready, can help avoid delays at the polls.
Residents are encouraged to visit myvote.wi.gov to review their registration, make updates, and find additional election information.
