WEYAUWEGA, WI – The Weyauwega Public Library has launched a new free little pantry to help provide food and household essentials to residents in need.
The pantry is located inside the library and is open during regular business hours, with no registration required. Visitors are encouraged to follow the simple motto: take what you need, give what you can.
Library Director Kelly Kneisler says the idea came from a patron who saw a similar pantry at the Scandinavia Public Library and proposed the concept to the library board last fall. The new pantry helps fill gaps in local access to resources, as the Weymont Food Pantry operates with limited hours on Mondays.
Library officials say the effort reflects neighbors helping neighbors while expanding support for the Weyauwega community.
