
Carol J. Frederick, age 88 of the Township of Belle Plaine, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026 at ThedaCare Medical Center, Shawano.
Carol June Frederick was born October 21, 1937, in Split Rock, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Erma (Kleman) Knoke. On September 1, 1973, Carol was united in marriage to Elmer G. Frederick at Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville, where she remained a devoted, long-time member. Throughout her professional life, Carol was a familiar face in the community, working at Red Owl grocery and later serving as the produce manager at T & C grocery store in Shawano. Beyond her work, she was deeply committed to preserving local history, serving as the Vice President of the Tigerton Historical Society and dedicating hundreds of hours to researching her family’s genealogy. Carol was known for her servant’s heart and community-oriented spirit. She found great joy in planting flowers around her home and was always ready to lend a hand, often spending her time driving elderly friends and neighbors to their appointments.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer; and her sisters, Elaine & Mary Knoke.
A graveside service and inurnment will take place at 11 AM on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Friendship Cemetery, Town of Belle Plaine, with the Rev. Brian Crocker officiating.
