SHAWANO, WI – Renovation projects at Shawano City Hall are continuing to move forward, with city officials reporting steady progress and minimal disruption to public services.
City Clerk Lesley Nemetz said several interior upgrades have already been completed, including new carpeting, a general facelift of office areas, and the addition of new office space. She credited the city’s Public Works crews for their hard work and dedication throughout the improvement process.
Construction has now shifted to the front lobby area at City Hall. Despite the ongoing work, Nemetz emphasized that all city services remain fully available to residents during renovations.
“There’s an office right at the front door,” Nemetz explained. “You’ll go in there and that’s where we’ll be able to help everybody who’s coming in because we want to keep everybody as safe as possible and kind of out of the construction area.”
Nemetz added that when voters arrive in April for upcoming elections, they will notice a refreshed and improved space, marking another milestone in the city’s broader efforts to upgrade municipal facilities and enhance the experience for residents.
