NORTHEAST WISCONSIN – Wolf River Community Bank is receiving statewide recognition after earning an Innovation in Financial Education Award at the Wisconsin Bankers Foundation conference in the Wisconsin Dells. Director of Marketing Lauren Moran says the honor came after the bank launched a video series focused on fraud prevention and customer awareness.
Moran says the idea grew out of a noticeable increase in fraud cases, with staff regularly helping customers navigate suspicious activity and scams. One employee, Spencer, works on the front lines nearly every day assisting customers who have been targeted. Bank leaders decided proactive education on common red flags could help stop fraud before it happens.
The video series shares prevention tips and real-world scenarios, and the content is available on the bank’s Facebook page to reach the wider community. Moran says the award was presented in front of more than 500 bankers from across Wisconsin, highlighting the bank’s commitment to financial education.
Wolf River Community Bank serves customers with branches in Greenville, Shiocton, Hortonville, and New London.
