Shawano Police responded to a busy mix of calls throughout the day Sunday. Officers assisted with several welfare checks across the city, including one at the AmeriVu Inn and Suites after a man reported possible abuse, followed later by a disturbance involving two individuals at the same location. No serious injuries were reported.
Police also handled a two-vehicle crash in the Family Dollar parking lot on South Main Street. Authorities say a gray Ford Escape struck a black SUV, but there were no injuries and the vehicles were moved from traffic.
Other incidents included a trespassing complaint on East Richmond Street, a reckless driving report near Highways 47 and 55, and multiple medical assist calls with area ambulance crews. Officers also responded to a commercial burglar alarm at Dreier Pharmacy, which was investigated without further incident.
Additional calls ranged from suspicious activity and juvenile issues to vehicle lockouts and disabled vehicles. Shawano Police say most situations were resolved without major problems and remain under routine follow-up.
