Allen Field Dugout Project Moving Forward in New London

NEW LONDON, WI – A planned upgrade at Allen Field in New London is gaining momentum as the community rallies behind a new dugout project.
Parks and Recreation Director Ginger Sowle says the idea for the improvement came from local interest in enhancing the facility for players and families. She explained that a young man approached the department seeking assistance with an Eagle Scout service project, which sparked the effort.
The project is being led by Eagle Scout Noah Schubert, who also plays at Allen Field with the Legion Clippers, making the work especially meaningful to him. Sowle says the city council has approved the project and an agreement has been signed to move it forward.
She also shared that more than $1,000 has already been raised in donations, putting the project on a strong path as fundraising continues.
