SHAWANO COUNTY, WI – Shawano County Sheriff George Lenzner says experience and stability are key reasons he is seeking another term in office.
Lenzner says his focus has remained on strong leadership and public safety for the county. He noted that his familiarity with the department and the community helps keep the Sheriff’s Office operating effectively. “I just think with my experience and knowledge of this place, it’s going to keep the office stable and effective,” Lenzner said.
Among the accomplishments he pointed to from the past year is the completion of a major radio system upgrade. Lenzner says the project ensures deputies now have reliable communication equipment, even in challenging locations such as schools and hospitals.
He also emphasized that building trust remains a top priority. Lenzner says continued partnerships with other law enforcement agencies, local leaders, and expanded mental health services are central to the department’s work moving forward.
