Shawano Police stayed busy throughout the day Wednesday responding to a wide range of calls across the city.
Early in the morning, officers assisted with a vehicle lockout at the Dunkin’ Donuts on East Green Bay Street. A short time later, police and ambulance crews responded to a medical call on South Bartlett Street involving a 75-year-old woman experiencing chest discomfort. She was conscious and breathing when help arrived and was transported for further care.
Later in the day, officers handled multiple 911 calls, including accidental dials and reports of suspicious activity. Police also investigated reports of harassment, drug offenses, and a theft complaint at the Walmart on East Green Bay Street.
Additional calls included a welfare check, a disabled semi near East Green Bay Street and Airport Drive, and officers assisting a resident who had fallen and needed help getting up.
In the evening, extra patrols were requested after reports of individuals claiming to be utility workers were seen walking around a residential neighborhood without marked vehicles.
Clintonville Police were active throughout the day Wednesday, responding to a variety of calls across the city.
Officers began the early morning hours conducting multiple business checks along South and North Main Street, East Green Tree Road, and County Highway I as part of routine patrols. Extra patrols were also requested later in the morning in several residential areas, including Anne Street, South Madison Street, and Pine Street.
Midday, police responded to a reported theft on South Main Street and an ordinance violation on Brix Street. Emergency crews were also called to assist with an ambulance response on 16th Street.
During the afternoon, officers investigated a suspicious activity report on North 12th Street, conducted a traffic stop near Highway 22 and Autumn Street, and responded to a motor vehicle crash on West Green Tree Road.
The evening included vehicle lockouts on Rose Park Court and 18th Street, a school extra patrol near West Green Tree Road, and additional traffic activity on West Madison Street.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office handled a wide range of calls throughout Wednesday, with deputies responding to traffic, public safety, and assistance requests across the county.
The day began with reports of traffic hazards along Highway 29, including a semi traveling eastbound with no trailer lights near mile marker 198. Deputies checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle. Later in the morning, a disabled car was reported along Highway 29 near Bowler, with the driver making arrangements to have it removed.
Deputies also provided courthouse security at the Shawano County Courthouse and responded to a non-reportable traffic crash near Roosevelt Road and County Highway G. Around mid-morning, disorderly conduct was reported at the Shawano County Jail after an inmate refused to comply with lockdown procedures.
Additional calls included assisting with a standby related to a family matter in the Bonduel area and responding to a 911 call where a toddler could be heard in the background before an adult took over the call.
Late morning brought a reckless driving complaint along Highway 29 near Nightingale Road. Deputies also assisted other law enforcement agencies during the afternoon and investigated multiple information reports from Shawano and Bowler.
Traffic incidents continued with a property-damage crash near Highway 22 and Cedar Avenue. Deputies later transported an individual to the Menominee Tribal Jail following the completion of extradition paperwork.
In neighboring jurisdictions, Stockbridge-Munsee Police conducted a welfare check in Gresham and assisted another agency with an ongoing investigation.
